Kids’ lessons

Teaching our younger clients…

A lot of people assume that teaching kids is something instructors tolerate rather than enjoy. After all, wouldn’t adults rather be teaching other adults?

Well, actually, no.

You see, adults are great – they’re very clever and interesting. They understand skiing metaphors (sometimes complicated ones) and often buy you a beer at the end of the day.

But you can rarely have a 30 minute conversation about Snow Elephants with an adult, and their desire to spend an afternoon looking for evidence of Snow Snakes is slim. Sadly, sometimes it’s non-existent.

Kids on the other hand, would like nothing more than to pass the time jumping up and down and trying to ski backwards, throwing snowballs at moving targets and skiing without poles. On one ski.

And whilst we know that these kind of things are brilliant for young skiers, it’s also great fun for the instructor, too.

Having fun – it’s not as easy as it looks.

We’ve made sure that we not only work with people who love skiing and have all sorts of technical badges to prove how good they are at it, but they’re also people who love teaching kids and understand how to help them improve their skiing by, well, messing about and having fun.

So if you (or someone you know) would like to learn about completely fictional Alpine ecosystems whilst jumping up and down and waving their arms about, just get in touch.
