A bit about James:
James grew up in sub-tropical Brisbane but got his first taste of skiing when he was a wee four years old in New Zealand. Numerous ski holidays followed.
The moment he finished his degree in Quantity Surveying, he was like a rat up a drain pipe and headed straight to Canada to obtain his instructing qualifications. His degree is particularly helpful now for counting students…
His love of ski instructing is not just about “changing lives one day at a time” but also his springboard for travelling the world, as much as he can . He is also striving to one day achieve his level 4 instructing qualification; but in the wise words of someone – probably and undoubtably – very wise, it’s about the journey just as much as the finish.
When he eventually (maybe never?) decides to hang up the ski boots, his dream is to start a functional fitness gym with elements of gymnastics, calisthenics, power lifting and cross-fit.
He uses the break between northern and southern hemisphere seasons to travel and find the warmest places possible. He is very passionate about fitness & nutrition and is a devout rugby union supporter… up the Wallabies!
