Mike’s up at Attelas and has just sent a few pictures of the new snow. Enjoy. And you can see more from yesterday here.

In a rather spooky coincidence we’ve had a load of snow in town on exactly the same weekend as last year. I know. Crazy.

But it’s all rather nice and there’s about three or four inches on the trees when you walk up to Dany – I know this because I just did. And if you think Dany’s a nice place then you might want to have a squiz at these… (Oh, and we’ve got pictures of the rather modern lifts at Medran. So if you’re really into lifts, you should have a look too).

Mike’s up at Ruinettes and whilst is a bit foggy and rubbish in town, it’s stunning up top… (You can see more on our webcam page).

While you’re playing on your computer Mike is climbing up pylons getting your ski lifts ready… Yes, Mike is up the mountain again doing manly things and fixing the lift pylons.

And – not content with cheating death daily owing to the absence of a Swiss version of health and safety – he likes to take time out to hang of pylons and take snaps of his shadow. Bless.

He has also sent a shot of the (exciting) new restaurant at La Chaux. And we’ll keep you posted as it progresses – the real revelation will be the menu, of course (we’ll send in Jonno to analyze it as soon as it’s released).

Now Toby loves this and will show you on his shiny new iPhone at the very first opportunity. So we thought we’d steal his thunder and show you here…

It’s Philippe from Carrefour in Verbier, and he’s been flying this thing about with gay abandon for years. Well, not any more he’s not…

So, we’ve already firmly established that the Swiss – specifically in the people of the Valais – do a very good line in festivals and parties.

Which means that a festival that’s been established to simply celebrate all things Valaisanne was destined to be brilliant. Just imagine a street party, a beer festival, a farm show and the Ideal Home Exhibition all at once…

(Oh, and if you need to know what on earth you’re looking at just have a look at the picture names):
