Woke up and checked the list of lifts open on the TeleVerbier site. Saw this. Green ticks in all the right places. Result.
Well, despite technology conspiring against us this morning (the site crashed – not my fault this time) we’re back up and running able to bring you the first proper snow in town. It’s looking pretty good for Saturday – there’s meeting tonight to decide if they start the winter this weekend…
There’s a lot written on the walls of the T-Bar – menus, beer prices, music nights and so on. But today this little notice got everyone’s attention: there’s a meeting tomorrow at TeleVerbier to decide if the lifts open on Saturday. This winter could be starting very, very soon…
The picture doesn’t really do the snow justice, but it’s all looking very white up there and it seems that TeleVerbier have been running the Funispace. Bring on Saturday.
I know the Funispace looks tiny in the photo, but it has been running. Trust me…
It’s been raining all day and started trying to snow in town about an hour ago. It’s settling at the top of town (check the webcam) but refuses to let up. Theory is it carries on all night and tomorrow so should be doing the business up at Lac des Vaux… Hopefully by tomorrow we’ll have a lot more.

Finally something relevant to blog about. No need to just mock Kato and Jonas or discuss the merits of coffee on the T-Bar terrace, because we might be in for that much needed dose of snow to get Lac des Vaux rolling on time. A week on Saturday. Thoughts?
