Yes, we have bullied actor, legend and all round top bloke Jason Flemyng to do the weather report for us. He was up at Carrefour, we were up at Carrefour, one thing led to another and he put’s in a rather fine performance I think you’ll agree.

The weather report is a well known springboard to greatness so we’re going to have our people talk to his people…

even bigger news than us getting all star struck that we had 20cm of fresh snow last night and it’s cold again. So when Guy said “it’ll stay sunny for weeks” he was being a fool.

So tomorrow sun’s back out and if you’re lucky we’ll have a raft of photos for you… We can’t promise any celebrities though.

As another weather report slides by without a single mention of the word “epic”, we wanted you to be up to date on the latest from Verbier. And it’s late because somebody forgot to do one on Monday…

But after the Adventure Skiing video we also did a weather report – you see we wanted to simply bowl you over with another video of our spring skiing antics.

Today was the day we’d been waiting for and Kent delivered in time-honoured style, taking myself, Martin, Chris, Louise and Will off for a bit of exploring. And it was amazing…

 

 

Yes, Kent’s long threatened day skiing with the Grinning Swede arrives today and we’ve just been skiing epic spring snow over on Mash. If you want to know where exactly you’ll just have to book Kent fit the day as he’s sworn us to secrecy.

(I however am open to bribes…).

Yes, we have shed the boiling spring-like temperatures of late February and it’s gone all wintery again. I for one was a bit chilly up there today.

But we had about 20cm of fresh snow overnight and since the half-term chaos died down at the weekend with the last of the European holidays, it was pretty relaxed up there today.

Of course, don’t be fooled into thinking it’ll be pure powder skiing as there’s a pretty icy base underneath all this, but it’s great to get some fresh snow on the hill and if you don’t mind bouncing off the frozen base every turn or so, it’s really rather nice…

Epic, you might say.

Yes, having battled man-flu Guy was able to drag himself into the sunshine to tell you what it’s like up in Verbier.

And frankly it’s rather good – nice slushy spring snow with a few wet slides in the afternoon on the south facing slopes that have meant the Route de Carrefour has had to shut as few times.

You’ll also notice a bit of GoPro footage after we won a camera in the CK Verbier Christmas Advent Calendar competition. And CK Helen makes her farewell appearance as she’s off to Blighty on Friday and – get this – genuinely wanted to be in one of our weather reports before she left. Funny girl.

Anyway, that’s her falling over near the end.
