After getting told on the news that the visability was “poor” in Swiss ski resorts last night I had to shout at the telly quite a lot – we were above the (light wispy) cloud all day yesterday as it was hanging about well below 1800m. So Ruinettes was in amazing sunshine virtually all day and you could see for miles. The conditions were great on piste too- as long as you kept warm enough as it’s pretty chilly up there.

And it’s about to get properly cold as forecasts say we could get down to minus 20°C at night this week…

Meanwhile, here’s a couple of shots of the trees below Ruinettes. The blue stuff appearing as we approached Ruinettes didn’t exist according to Sky News…

PS. Click here and you can see for yourself what the weather’s doing in town on the webcams (the bottom two are on the blink).

Yet another great day on the hill – Felix did his very best training and spent the morning trying to hospitalize us by getting everyone to jump around with undone boots on one ski. It was like an orthopedic surgeons worst nightmare but we survived.

Meanwhile the toxic spillage jackets are still difficult to look at without sunglasses on and the piste conditions were absolutely perfect.

So here are a few shots of Felix waving his arms about and more evidence of the uniform colour explosion. Sorry for the low res images – we’ll use a proper camera tomorrow…

Had yet another brilliant yesterday on the hill. Snow is amazing, sun was out and we finished up for a few well earned beers in the Pub. Sadly we were so busy skiing we didn’t get pictures of us in our nice new uniforms, but we did remember to get the camera out for a little après ski. And it looked like this…

Wow. So with the wonders of technology we can now blog from the iPhone. this means that we can write more stuff and from the slopes. Exellent. Toby

Thought it was a perfect day to take Laika out for her first ski. It just so happens that Fin, Chris and Dee’s dog was up for the challenge. What a perfect morning….T

I might not be skiing but it’s not looking too bad up there…
