Yes, just as everyone is starting to trot out their shorts and get sunburnt, the weather has turned rather iffy and it’s throwing down snow.

Now, I’m in Austria right now, but the news from Verbier is snow up top but not in the resort. But I’m not too worried as there are forecasts for as much as a meter of fresh on the glacier here in Hintertux so a soggy Verbier doesn’t worry me too much…

Yes, snow is falling in Verbier. I know, ironic, eh?

ANOTHER UPDATE…

Yes, snow is settling in Verbier… And Toby’s snapped it…

It’s been snowing again and we managed to not only get up Mont Fort – where there was about 40 cm and not a breath of wind – but we also skied the Gentianes itinerary just as the cloud broke. And it was rather nice. And made all the nicer by the knowledge everyone else in Verbier couldn’t see more than ten feet in front of them…

So, it turned out a few of us had a few days off and Felix thought it would be a great idea to go skiing. So we did. And it was brilliant. If a little scary…
