Yes, we have shed the boiling spring-like temperatures of late February and it’s gone all wintery again. I for one was a bit chilly up there today.

But we had about 20cm of fresh snow overnight and since the half-term chaos died down at the weekend with the last of the European holidays, it was pretty relaxed up there today.

Of course, don’t be fooled into thinking it’ll be pure powder skiing as there’s a pretty icy base underneath all this, but it’s great to get some fresh snow on the hill and if you don’t mind bouncing off the frozen base every turn or so, it’s really rather nice…

Epic, you might say.

Yes, having battled man-flu Guy was able to drag himself into the sunshine to tell you what it’s like up in Verbier.

And frankly it’s rather good – nice slushy spring snow with a few wet slides in the afternoon on the south facing slopes that have meant the Route de Carrefour has had to shut as few times.

You’ll also notice a bit of GoPro footage after we won a camera in the CK Verbier Christmas Advent Calendar competition. And CK Helen makes her farewell appearance as she’s off to Blighty on Friday and – get this – genuinely wanted to be in one of our weather reports before she left. Funny girl.

Anyway, that’s her falling over near the end.

And yes, the mic is a bit dodgy. Sorry about that.

Yes, Toby has been sacked as the director of the weather report and we’ve drafted in Nick to show us how to do arty things. I think you’ll agree it feels more like a sequence from and episode of Top Gear rather than the usual shaky weather report…

Once again Sophie steps in front of the camera, although if you’re all very good Kent will be doing one in the very near future. So behave yourselves.

Yes, Toby took over the direction of the weather report this week and he’s delivered a meaningful piece that allows him to both express his feelings and communicate them through the medium of his muse, Sophie, and some incidental jazz…

I think it’s hard to disagree that if the Baftas were just a week later it could have been a contender.
